1) Navigating the Browser

a) Overview Map

In this map a red box will show where the map image is in relation to the western USA.

b) Map Image

The main image where the user can zoom and select features.

c) Visible Layers

Only checked layers will be displayed in the map image.

d) Active Layers

The active layer is the only layer that can be queried.

e) Tools

Allows users to select a specific tool.

f) Query Results

These are the attributes generated from tools Query, Find and Identify.

2) Tools

Tool Icon	Tool Description
	This tool is the all powerful hand. It will allow the user to grab the map and move the image.
	Zoom to full extent
	Zoom to active layer
&	Zoom in and zoom out. Hold down left click on mouse and drag to encompass region of interest
	Zoom back to previous extent
	Select features in active layer and all features within or crossing polygon will be selected
	Select features based on line or polygon
	Identify feature in active layer by clicking on point of interest. This will bring up all attributes for selected feature.
	Query builder for active layer.  Set specific query parameters and attributes for feature that meet specified parameters will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
	Find allows user to search active layer for specific text such as "AZ"
	Measures distance
	Allows user to select desired map units
	Creates a print document containing the Map Image, Overview Map Image and Legend
